“I love a good splash of flowers. Mostly, I love flowers but even more so when the planting is a substantial one. It is one of the pleasures of summer. These ones are Echinacea I saw in a front yard garden during an evening walk. It was their sturdy mass of colour that reached out to me. So much enthusiasm. I caught a couple photos with my mobile phone to source later in my studio. Such good feelings about these flowers again as I painted them.” – Jim Pescott
